Ronda Richley

Ronda Richley was born in Ohio and is a California-trained artist who now lives in Ocala. Her entire career has been in the arts as a professor, designer, and fine artist. She is fondly known as “The Tree Lady” for her personified trees and her giving back to nature. As her work has spanned decades, her subject matter and style have changed over time. She creates a variety of art, including ceramics, painting, collage, and mosaics.

Ronda discovered her love for Ocala and moved there from Orlando when she was selected to paint her design on a life-size horse sculpture for Horse Fever 20/20. Excited and honored, her horse, “Sunny Daze,” was designed to bring joy and luck to all who see his brightly colored sunflowers. You can see “Sunny Daze” at the College of Central Florida Vintage Farm Campus in Ocala.

She has had gallery representation and shows in galleries, including several solo exhibitions. Ronda was also the founder, owner, and curator of Art Affair Gallery in Sanford, Florida, for several years, where she represented the works of over forty artists.

Ronda is an internationally award-winning artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Studio Arts. She has taught art at colleges and universities across the United States and has art in collections worldwide. Ronda’s art has been in museum shows and the permanent collection at the Copelouzos Family Art Museum in Greece.
